The cast of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER is reuniting for a series about...SPIKE!
Okay, so the first thing to know is, this series is NOT being helmed by the original series creator and showrunner Joss Whedon, and plenty of folks will be happy about that (IYKYK).
The second thing to know: this will be an audio series (with the character of Spike voiced by his creator, James Marsters). So, while anticipation of seeing Spike in the flesh may be what spikes (sorry) most fans’ interest in a reboot, consider how alluring that voice of his has always been, and, well, seems like there is still plenty to look forward to.
The setting will be modern day Los Angeles, in a world where (gulp) Buffy never existed! But there is a slayer named Cordelia (remember her? And Charisma Carpenter will return to her iconic role). Additional original cast members will also be returning, including Amber Benson (Tara), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Danny Strong (Jonathan), and Anthony Head (Giles).
YES, GILES!
I don’t know about you but I will definitely, absolutely, one hundred percent be tuning in for this.
