Hello folks, and sorry I haven’t posted anythng here in a while. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind lately. But this Samhaintide feels especially potent, for, well, reasons. It’s also been a beautiful autumn season, after a worrying late summer drought here. It’s cold and windy this week, which feels very suitable for the cross quarter that bridges autumn and winter…
I enjoyed some Hallowe’en vibes this week, and tonight am co-hosting a ritual at the local witch shop with my podcasting partner-in-crime, Kate. I’m recording a new podcast episode tomorrow with a fabulous author who’s written an exciting new book about witches in film. There’s also some great movies and TV to talk about, and the witchy media elements of 2025 have been somewhat unexpected but also amazing this year.
