Dave Group here. Came across your name when purchasing Lights, Camera, Witchcraft, and wondered if it was the same person from Geneseo way back when. I googled it and--wow! You're amazing. I then googled Rohann's name and discovered she had died two years ago. Wasn't prepared for that. What happened? The photos of her with her son just break your heart.
Hope your books sell better than mine, though it's gotten good reviews on Amazon.
Have tried to get a witch movie going, with no success so far, though I did participate in a summer solstice ritual with local Wiccans a few weeks back.
hi there, nice to hear from you (but am having trouble recalling you by name?). Indeed heartbreaking about Rohann. I did get to see her a few times in recent years as she lived not far from New Paltz where I was teaching. Rohann had breast cancer, fought it bravely and recovered briefly but then it came back. Horrible. Her son is a lovely person. As you may know we also lost Jean Graber several years ago, to Lewy Body Dementia. I had been seeing her a fair amount as she lived in Saugerties where our friend Rick Cousin still lives and we got together often.
The witch movie sounds intriguing...as does your book!
10 Court St? As I recall, the year you and Rohann were there there were several feminists and/or lesbians, and you all seemed to support each other (Marianne Rizzo, Lorraine Downes-Sinclair, Alana Bunin?), a nice atmosphere that was unique in all the years I lived at that house (That might make a good book-- hint hint.). I seem to recall you were always heading out to do something, so I was probably relegated to your peripheral vision. The name Jean Graber doesn't ring a bell.
Your reviews of The Love Witch and The Witch were illuminating (I'm a guy-- cluelessness comes with the territory, okay?), and I look forward to your book The Witching Hour.
I'm sure you've got a lot to do, so I'll wrap this up with a few films you might enjoy (if you haven't already): Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched (2021) and The Eagle Huntress (2016).
It's SO good to hear from you! What a welcome joy in my inbox this morning. I do miss you but am so happy that you are bringing us a wee bit of England. I look forward to a signed, if I may be so bold, copy of your book. <3 <3

ah yes, are you the one who watched Picnic at Hanging Rock in fuzzy black and white on the old TV in the basement by the kitchen?
I was a theatre major so yeah I was always busy and being social!
Jean was a good friend of Rohann and Lorraine; Lorraine and I are still in touch...
have seen Woodlands Dark but not The Eagle Huntress...
