Technology is magical! (and hard)
This hedgewitch is better at gardening than she is at navigating digital media
Witchcraft! It’s all about nature and the moon and rituals and magic and cauldrons right? Ahh, if only. These days a witch often feels compelled to reach out to her compatriots using weird ethereal processes and little handheld devices. Confession: I’m not good at this stuff.
Yep, it’s true, the Media Witch, while well-versed in many forms of tradition media, and somewhat savvy with social media, does not always find herself able to navigate the world of audio and video creation and editing as well as she’d like.
BUT! I have finally managed to upload my first podcast episode (recorded on Beltane) to Youtube. I made a very pretty video version using iMovie but I can’t quite figure out how to upload or share it, so I’m using software that does it easily. But I hope to figure out how to have a bit more control and creativity in this process.
So stay tuned! I’m hoping to record my next episode by early June. Many thanks are due to my first podcast guest and friend Kate Laity who has helped me with a lot of the podcasting basics!
Here is the debut episode of “The Witching Hour is Nigh” podcast on Youtube. Please feel free to share it! And thank you as always for your support.
The audio version is an an earlier post on the blog (also linked in this post).
May I suggest you release an audio (mp3) version too? I have a handy browser extension that lets me download just an audio track from YouTube, but not everyone does that. And sometimes it's easier to listen than to watch.(Yes, I am often traveling where streaming is not possible, so I download.) Looking forward to listening.
